The Waiting Season
Let’s talk for a minute sis. I am tired of WAITING for this season to finally come to an end. How about you? Surely, I’m not talking about this summer season, because sis, I blinked and it was OVER! Summer is actually my favorite season of the year. I live in a state where we can have all four seasons in one day, so when summer makes its way around.............. I be ready! But let’s talk about this season of waiting........ and waiting........ and waiting. I’m like, God, for real? How about you? Is there something that you been praying, fasting, crying, sacrificing for and you’ve seen no movement from God at all? Are you ready to just walk away and give up, feeling like hope is pointless and faith is just a joke? I know how you feel sis, but GOD SEES YOU.
God sees your tears. God sees your energy running on empty. God sees the sleepless nights. God’s sees your efforts and sacrifices. God sees YOU. I want to take you back in our history for minute; I want to take you back to a time, when a servant girl named Hagar, was pregnant with Abraham’s FIRST child, Ishmael. Hagar was not pregnant because she was an adulterer, sneaking around with another woman’s husband. Hagar was a servant that was pregnant with a man’s (Abraham) child, because his wife (Sarah) told him to sleep with her, because she, herself could not conceive at that time, and became IMPATIENT. I’m sure you and I both know a little something about IMPATIENCE . Long story short, Sarah became jealous, and Hagar paid the consequence. As a pregnant Hagar found herself running, scared, confused, rejected, hopeless and feeling very unseen, God met her. God saw her. God sees you.
This may be a season where you are about to birth something that is directly connected to God’s promise. You may be in a season where God is transforming you into who you were always created to be. I’m not sure if your waiting season is extended because of your lack of obedience (like Jonah), or because it’s God’s ordained time; nevertheless, stay hopeful that you are were God has strategically planted you. Take advantage of the WAITING. Be productive in the WAITING. If you are unsure of how to use this time, below are a few ways that can take advantage of this season:
